Keely Hafer, Ed. D
I am originally from San Diego, and spent 10 years in Orange County prior to moving to the South Bay. I attended California State University, Long Beach, where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Spanish. My passion for learning another language is something that I wanted to share with students. Having learned Spanish in high school, I was able to relate to my students and use my personal experiences to enhance the curriculum. I have always had a passion for education and knew that I wanted to work in a school setting so that I could build meaningful relationships with students. After studying abroad in Spain for a summer, I finished my degree and received my Single Subject Credential.
After teaching and having the opportunity to work as an Activities Director, I decided to pursue a Master's Degree. Through this program and my practical experience as Activities Director, I gained knowledge about the inner workings of a school, the community, and how to shape a school culture to benefit all students. I graduated from Concordia University, Irvine with a Master's Degree in Educational Administration and my Preliminary Administrative Credential. My passion is creating school communities where students can thrive both in and out of the classroom. As an administrator, I am excited about the role I play in shaping Palos Verdes High School so that students can be successful before and after graduation.
I graduated in May 2020 with my Ed.D in Educational Leadership from the University of Southern California. I am so proud of this accomplishment and could not have done it without the support of so many people throughout the way. Fight on!
I love being a part of the Sea King family. PVHS has an outstanding reputation and I am thrilled to continue the legacy that has already been started. #SEAKINGGREATNESS
