Withdraw and Drop Policy

Voluntary Drop/Level Change: Initiated by student or parent


Effect on transcript:

  1. DROP/LEVEL CHANGE*: If request occurs on or before October 9, first semester, or March 4, second semester, there will be no record of the class on the transcript.
  2. WITHDRAW: If withdraw occurs from October 12 – December 11, first semester or March 7 – May 20, second semester, a grade of W will be recorded on the transcript.
  3. WITHDRAW “F” If withdraw occurs from January 4 – January 22, first semester, on May 26 – June 9 second semester, an “F” will be recorded on transcript, regardless of academic grade.
*Please Note: Level changes are based on space availability and are not guaranteed  


Effect on transcript:

  1. Withdraw U: W on transcript; W/U on report card if drop occurs and student is passing with an A, B, C or D.
  2. Withdraw F/U F on transcript; F/U on report card anytime in the semester if the student is failing at the time of the disciplinary drop.
