Examen Unidad 1 Etapa 2

Clase,

Our exam for U1E2 is 11/30 (B day) and 12/1 (A day). It will be the same format as the last exam: a vocabulary test/prueba de vocabulario of 20 terms from the list on pg. 73, and an exam/examen. The exam portion will be a mix of multiple choice, true/false, and short answer.

It would serve you best to study the vocabulary, the new stem change verbs (pg. 60), and the irregular preterite verbs (pg.63). We will take the exam during the second half of the period. Reach out with any questions or concerns, and happy studying!

Sincerely,
Sr. McKinney

Pruebita del pretérito irregular

As mentioned in class, we will have a quiz on the irregular preterite verbs on 11/28 (B) and 11/29 (A). It will cover the new verbs from pg. 63 in the text, and your notes. The quiz will include two conjugation charts, three fill in the blank sentences, and one extra credit question. As homework, you are required to study, and have a parent sign your calendar to authorize that you studied for this quiz for at least 15 minutes. I will check for this on the day of your quiz.

Happy studying!
-Sr. McKinney

Guía de estudio/Study guide - Examen 1

Buenas tardes todos:

Our first exam, on the Etapa Preliminar of our text, is fast approaching (A 9/22, B 9/23). It will consist of two parts: a vocabulary test, and an exam in which you will write 8 sentences about a given photo "scene". You will need to provide your own sheet of paper; both parts of the test will be written on 1 sheet.

- Vocabulary test: 10 points total
I will read aloud 10 terms total from pg. 25 in our text. The vocabulary list includes words and phrases, all of which are subject to being included in the test. For 5 of the terms, you must translate from Spanish to English. For the other 5 terms, you must translate from English to Spanish.

 - Paragraph: 40 points total
You will be provided with 1 of the 4 cartoon scenes (see attached file here) to write an eight sentence paragraph about. I will choose the scene for the exam randomly. You will be required to write an introductory sentence giving the context of the scene. Then, you must write about the scene while demonstrating correct usage of the grammar concepts we have studied in this chapter. Write 1 sentence for each concept. The sentences do not have to be linked together as a cohesive story, but they each must be directly discussing the scene. You will color code each sentence to indicate which concept it is demonstrating. Spelling and accents count towards your grade. An incorrect or missing accent will deduct 1/2 point from that sentence. See rubric below for more information and grading breakdown.

We will review with several different activities next class, as well as doing a mock paragraph together based on a cartoon scene. Happy studying!
