Dual Enrollment

PVPUSD has partnered with LA Harbor College (LAHC) to offer high school students the opportunity to take college-level courses while still in high school through the Dual Enrollment Program. This partnership allows students to earn both high school and college credits giving them a head start on their college education. By enrolling in these courses, students have access to college professors, a variety of academic subjects, and the opportunity to explore potential career paths. This collaboration ensures that students are well-prepared for higher education and provides them with valuable experience that sets them apart in college applications.

PVPUSD offers many courses that count toward your general education requirements in college: Film Appreciation, Abnormal Psychology, Statistics, and Communications. Taking LAHC courses can save you money toward college expenses and give you a head start when you begin college. Starting in 10th grade, students may discuss enrolling in these courses with their school counselor to see if these courses are the right fit for their schedules.

This school year (2024-2025), we have an all-time high enrollment in our popular Business Pathway Program! Starting 11th grade, students who are interested in studying business can join our program; they will take (2) LAHC classes per semester and earn a total of 20 college units upon completion.
