April is National Poetry Month - PVHS Library Poetry Bracket

April is National Poetry Month - PVHS Library Poetry Bracket Thumbnail Image
April is National Poetry Month and the PVHS Library is celebrating with a month-long poetry bracket and other activities. Participating students and staff read or listen to poems daily and select which in that moment holds the most resonance for them. Each round a poet and their work advance forward in the bracket. Competition is a little antithetical to the idea of poetry, an art form meant to communicate thought and emotion. Rather than pitting poems against each other, we're employing the bracket for exposure and celebration. It's never too late to jump in! We're currently in ROUND 8 - please be sure to read all of our amazing STUDENT SUBMISSIONS! (And it's never too late to start reading & even voting from Round 1).
