The Girl's Varsity and JV tennis teams competed in the very competitive Bay League Championships and came away with prestigious awards. Junior Parker Fry won the Varsity Singles, Freshman Lily Kresser won the JV Singles, and the doubles team of Kumiko Nagata and Isabella Brannan was the JV runner up.

We are excited to be starting a monthly parent discussion group as part of our Community Conversations series. This week, the American Scholastic Press Association critique arrived for the 2019 Palos Verdes Triton Yearbook and the student staff of photographers, writers, designers received two honors: Most Outstanding High School Yearbook and First Place with Special Merit. Both of these awards are the highest accolades offered from this national press association. Congratulations to the Triton leaders and to Adviser Ms. Pavelka.

On August 21, the National Scholastic Press Association awarded the Triton Yearbook 2019 by giving them the honor rating of All-American with Four Marks of Distinction in the areas of writing/editing, design, photography and coverage. Congratulations to the Palos Verdes High School Triton Yearbook editorial board and staff for this year’s spring publication “that’s our NATURE.”
