ROOM 318 (CCC) - How To Research Colleges to Find Your Fit!

Presented by Kat Everard Delgado, Regional Director of Admission, Texas Christian University. Where to even begin? Learn what factors to consider for conducting robust and effective research. Feel more confident to create a balanced college list that includes likely, target, and reach schools to meet your personality, aspirations and budget


ROOM 323 - Community College: Opportunities & Resources for High School Students

Presented by Aura Rivera, Outreach & Recruitment Counselor/Coordinator, Los Angeles Harbor College. Community College classes ARE COLLEGE CLASSES and provide students a great opportunity to explore subjects of interest as well as potential college majors or careers! Families are encouraged to learn about the benefits of Community College pathways and Dual Enrollment opportunities available at no cost to high school students.


ROOM 325 - College Connections: Making the Most of College Visits/Fairs & Rep Visits to PVHS!

Presented by Ian Parker, Counselor, Collegewise. With college campus visits back in full swing, it’s important to learn how to prepare! Great college visits involve more than touring a campus and sitting in an info session. Hear best practices to make the most of college visits on a college campus, at a virtual or in-person college fair or meeting a college rep here at PV High!


LIBRARY - Health Sciences Pathways: Nursing, Pre-Med, Pharmaceutical Sciences, PT, Public Health, etc. Presented by Shannon Smith, Regional Associate Director of Admissions, Albany College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences. When you put on your first pair of lab goggles, balanced your first chemical equation or first volunteered in your community - did you ever think you'd someday have what it takes to impact or save lives? If you have a passion for science and are interested in creating a path to a potential major or career under the broad umbrella of Health Sciences, this is an important session to attend. Also learn about joint-degree and early assurance programs for high achieving students who are absolutely set on a future in health care.



MPR - Overview of the UC System & Application Insights

Presented by Ffiona Rees, Interim Executive Director of Undergraduate Admission, University of California, Los Angeles. Get an overview of the UC System with details of the UC admissions and application process. Ms. Rees will share information regarding test changes, deadlines, eligibility in the local context as well as application and admissions updates. She will also touch on Personal Insight Questions and their importance in the UC admissions process.



OAR/Drama Room - Business Programs: Preparing to be a Competitive Applicant

Presented by Rick Diaz, Regional Director of Admission Southern California, Southern Methodist University. Whether you think you might want to major in some aspect of “business” but aren’t quite sure how to test that idea, or you already know you’re interested, but want to plan a path that demonstrates that interest, you’re going to want to hear how best to build your business-related knowledge and skills base during your high school experience to put your best foot forward when applying to selective business schools or programs
