One of the most-performed and beloved musicals in theater history, PIPPIN, will be presented by the Palos Verdes High School Drama Department for eight performances April 14-23. Heir to the Frankish throne, the young prince Pippin is in search of the secret to true happiness and fulfillment. He seeks it in the glories of the battlefield, the temptations of the flesh, and the intrigues of political power. In the end, though, Pippin finds that happiness lies not in the extraordinary endeavors, but rather in the un-extraordinary moments that happen every day. With an unforgettable score from the four-time Grammy-winner, three-time Oscar-winner, and musical theatre giant Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Godspell, Children of Eden), PIPPIN promises to entertain.
The production is recommended for ages 13 and over.
Performances are April 14-15 and 21-22 at 7:00pm, April 15, 22-23 at 2:00pm, and April 20 at 3:30pm in the MPR at Palos Verdes High School, 600 Cloyden Road in Palos Verdes Estates.
