This week the Triton Yearbook, The Point, and Live from 205 flew to Dallas to take part in the JEA/NSPA Fall National Journalism Convention. Our yearbook, journalism and broadcast journalism staffs engaged in workshops and critiques.

 

The Triton Yearbook and Live from 205 competed in broadcast and write offs. Live from 205 was awarded Best of Show.

 

The Triton Yearbook received a flawless critique of Excellence as did the Tradewinds Literary Magazine. This year was the first time the literary magazine was critiqued.

 

This was the second time that The Point newspaper was critiqued. The Point and The Triton Yearbook also engaged in a question and answer session with former Washington Post editor Bill Elsen.

 

After a few days of intense competition and evaluation, the three scholastic journalism teams celebrated at dinner together in downtown Dallas. Congratulations to Palos Verdes High School student journalism from film to yearbook to newspaper. We are Sea Kings!
