Triton Yearbook Captures Two First Place Awards in Design and Theme at Jostens National Summer Yearbook Camp at University of San Diego

Adviser Ms. Pavelka and Editor-in-Chief Alumna Hana Meroth (2019) accompanied ten Triton Yearbook Editors-in-Chief, Junior Editors-in-Chief and Editors to the annual National Yearbook Camp at the University of San Diego where the creative team chose the new 2020 theme and began work on the design and organization of the new publication. The group of leaders worked tirelessly on rebranding social media, fresh layouts and concepts throughout the week under the mentorship of journalism and design professionals. On Thursday, June 25 following an intensive critique, the Triton team garnered the two top prizes in the Intensive Track Advanced Competitive Category - Best in Design and Best in Original Theme Development. Student leader awardees included Kaylin Lee, Sydney Singh, Michaela Lee, Alice Min, Emma Chang (not pictured), Isabella Ruiz, Renee Moore, Gabby Kwon, Ariana Mardani and Samantha Steman.
