Welcome to Photography & Animation!

Room 211, PVHS
Instructor: Kristy Jimenez
Students will find a home in this inclusive learning environment where everyone is encouraged to find their artistic voice through art production. Students can expect to study the basics to advanced skills in digital art, current world events, artists, careers in the field, participate in community shows and competitions, as well as produce a portfolio of their own work online and in print form. Advanced students take on local jobs in the field, organize their own exhibition, and use their work to help support community events.

Throughout the year students can participate in field trips traveling to places throughout Los Angeles,San Francisco, and abroad. In years past, students have traveled to Thailand, Laos, and Cuba. On these trips students will have the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the class material in real world experiences. Application and celebration of student production is an important theme. Please take a moment to check out the student work and course expectations posted below.
If you should have any course questions, would like to volunteer, or donate to the arts program, please contact Kristy Jimenez.  [email protected]

VOLUNTEER!
Your involvement is what makes any program great. If you or someone you know can contribute to the photo program that would be great. In years past we have had guest speakers, parent field trip chaperones, gone to studios, attended photo shoots, visited historical buildings, traveled to San Francisco, received photo equipment, visited botanical gardens, and more because of parent involvement. Your suggestions are appreciated!
