Photography is designed to introduce/ enhance students' knowledge about the camera and how it works. Students will learn how to take a good photo, learn to use editing software such as Adobe LightRoom and Photoshop, as well as how to print and digitally share out their work with the world. This class is geared to explore, create good photos, and have fun learning about the world around them through the lens.
Advanced photo students will continue to develop technical, compositional, and digital skills in photography. Historical events and photographer biographies will be explored to create short and long term themed projects. Students will participate in contests, organize their own photo show, participate in a community photo shoot, publish a photo book as well as develop a creative online presence.

Your involvement is what makes any program great. If you or someone you know can contribute to the photo program that would be great. In years past we have had guest speakers, parent field trip chaperones, gone to studios, attended photo shoots, visited historical buildings, traveled to San Francisco, received photo equipment, visited botanical gardens, and more because of parent involvement. Your suggestions are appreciated!
